Members of the Detroit Caucus announced their new leadership team for the upcoming 2021-2022 legislative session. Representative Tenisha Yancey (D-Harper Woods) will serve as Chair of the caucus. The additional leaders include Representative Tyrone Carter (D-Detroit) as Vice Chair, Representative-elect Helena Scott (D-Highland Park) as Secretary, and Representative-elect Stephanie Young (D-Detroit) as Treasurer.
New and returning members of the Detroit Caucus for the upcoming term include Representative Joe Tate (D-Detroit) and Representative Cynthia A. Johnson (D-Detroit), Senator Stephanie Chang (D-Detroit), Senator Adam Hollier (D-Detroit), Senator Sylvia Santana (D-Detroit), Senator Marshall Bullock (D-Detroit) and Senator Betty Jean Alexander (D-Detroit), along with Representative-elect Shri Thanedar (D-Detroit), Representative-elect Abraham Aiyash (D-Detroit) and Representative-elect Mary Cavanagh (D-Detroit).
