Committee Membership Changes Announced

House Speaker Tom Leonard (R-DeWitt Twp.) announced changes to the memberships of a few committees following the resignation of former Representative Andy Schor after he took office as Mayor of Lansing.

House Health Policy Committee – Representative Jim Ellison (D-Royal Oak) has been added to the committee.
House Commerce and Trade Committee – Representative Sheldon Neely (D-Flint) has been added to the committee and Representative Darrin Camilleri (D-Brownstown Twp.) has been elevated to minority vice chair.
Joint Committee on Administrative Rules – Representative Tim Sneller (D-Burton) has been added to the committee and Representative Jeremy Moss (D-Southfield) has been elevated to minority vice chair.

Two additionally changes were announced; at her request, Representative Bettie Cook Scott (D-Detroit) will no longer serve on the House Workforce and Talent Development Committee. Taking her place on the committee is Representative Terry Sabo (D-Muskegon).
