With less than three weeks before the general election, the number of Michigan voters requesting absentee ballots continues to grow. Thus far, 1.7 million voters have made their request, while in 2018 just 912,872 absentee ballots had been requested three weeks prior to the election. For this midterm election, 432,960 absentee ballots have been returned, however, that number will continue to grow. Online voter registration is available through October 24; however, residents can register to vote in person at their local clerk’s office through 8 p.m. on Election Day.
