House to Have Four New Members

This week, special general elections were held in four House seats in Wayne, Macomb, Oakland, and Kent Counties. The newly elected state representatives will be sworn into office in the coming days. Each of them will serve the remainder of the current term, ending on December 31, 2022. They will need to run again this year if they want to serve a full two-year term in the House.

Below please find a profile of the incoming members:

- 15^th House District, Wayne County
  - Jeffrey Pepper (D) – Business owner, trial attorney, and dispute mediator.

- 36^th House District, Macomb County
  - Terence Mekoski (R) – Retired law enforcement officer, having served 26-years in the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office. Served as a senior financial investigator within the DEA.

- 43^rd House District, Oakland County
  - Mike Harris (R) – Retired law enforcement officer.

- 74^th House District, Kent County
  - Carol Glanville (D) – Walker City Commissioner, teacher, and education administrator, owns an educational consulting firm.
