Governor Gretchen Whitmer has appointed Katherine Peretick to serve as a commissioner on the Michigan Public Service Commission. She currently serves as director of engineering at an energy storage project developer. Prior to that worked in several companies in various roles including engineering manager and a mechanical engineer. In 2020, she was named to the Energy News Network 40 Under 40. Ms. Peretick holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Engineering in Energy Systems Engineering from the University of Michigan.
Ms. Peretick is appointed to the Commission as an Independent and is succeeding Sally Talberg who has resigned to join the board of directors of the Electric Reliability Council of Texas. Her term expires on July 2, 2021. The appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
