As Michigan begins the shift back towards pre-pandemic life, the business community has been voicing concerns over the lack of legal protections they have while COVID-19 is still present. In response, the legislature is taking steps to learn more about the situation. The House Judiciary Committee and the Senate Economic and Small Business Committee have scheduled a joint hearing on Thursday, August 6 at 8:30 a.m., to hear testimony on a package of bills that deal with liability protections for employees, employers, and higher education.
