Deputy State Treasurer Selected

Joyce Parker was selected by State Treasurer Rachael Eubanks to serve as the department’s new deputy state treasurer over state and local government finance programs. She will lead program areas within the department that provide financial services and bonding to local communities and school districts and oversee property tax administration. Ms. Parker began her new role on July 15.

Prior to joining the department, Ms. Parker served as president and CEO of The Municipal Group. Previously, she’s served as assistant city manager for the City of Jackson, township manager for Buena Vista Charter Township, city manager for the cities of Inkster and Saginaw, and community development director for the City of Flint. Ms. Parker holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Kent State University and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Michigan-Flint.
