What can partisan control of the US House tell us about who may control the Michigan House next term? In his latest blog post, MLC lobbyist Brendan Ringlever looked at historical trends that for decades have mostly mirrored one another.

Michigan’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in September declined to 4.0%.

The Department of Environmental Quality is providing $80 million in loans to fund municipal water and sewer projects to improve water quality and protect public health.

In Berrien and Cass Counties two teachers are going head-to-head for the opportunity to represent the 78^th House District, which has a 61% Republican base.

With a 57% Republican base, the Democrats will have to put in a lot of work to try to win the 79^th House District in Southwest Michigan.

In a district that overwhelming voted for Trump, the GOP candidate is counting on the 66% base vote to deliver, while the Democratic candidate is hoping to turn the tide and represent this district next year.
