The two major party candidates for Michigan Governor have agreed to two televised debates. Both debates between Democratic candidate Gretchen Whitmer and Republican candidate Bill Schuette are scheduled for next month.
The first debate will be held on Friday, October 12, from 7-8 p.m. The debate will be televised by WOOD-TV in Grand Rapids. It will be moderated by reporter Rick Albin.
The second debate will take place on Wednesday, October 24, from 8-9 p.m. WDIV-TV in Detroit will televise the debate, which will be moderated by reporters Kimberly Gill and Devin Scillian.
The questions will be determined by the moderators and include opening and closing statements.
