District Overview

The 23^rd House District is located in Wayne County. The district includes Brownstown Township, Gibraltar, Grosse Ile Township, Huron Township, Trenton, and Woodhaven.

Commentary

Democratic Representative Darrin Camilleri is running for his second term in office. In 2016, Representative Camilleri was the only Democratic candidate to flip a seat, showing he’s a strong campaigner. However, in the same year, President Trump won this district with 53% of the vote. The district has a 52% Republican base.
