District Overview
The 32nd Senate District is located in Saginaw and a portion of Genesee County.
Commentary
Republican Senator Ken Horn is running for his second term in this seat, having previously served three terms in the Michigan House of Representatives. His opponent is three-term State Representative Phil Phelps. The district base shows a slight favor to Republicans with a 50.67% base over a 49.33% Democratic base. Insiders are giving an edge to incumbent Senator Horn in this race, but given the district makeup the near 50-50 partisan split makes this a top tier pickup target for the Democrats.
