District Overview

The 79^th House District is located in Berrien County in Southwest Michigan.

Commentary

Representative Kim LaSata (R) is foregoing a run for reelection to this seat in order to run for an open seat in the Michigan Senate. The district has a 57% Republican base.

Joey Andrews – Attorney, owns a solar panel installing business
Marletta Seats – President of the Benton Harbor School Board, former Berrien County Commissioner
