District Overview

The 36^th House District is located in Macomb County and includes Bruce Township, Washington Township, and a portion of Shelby Charter Township.

Commentary

Representative Peter Lucido (R) is foregoing a third term in this seat to run for the State Senate. The Republican primary race includes the wife of former Representative Pete Lund and the legislative director to Representative Lucido. The district has a 67% Republican base.
