Bill Introduced to Accelerate Infrastructure Improvements

This week, Representative Jeff Yaroch (R-Richmond) introduced a bill speeding up the timetable for road repairs in Michigan. Under the bill as introduced, it would accelerate the revenue benefits from a road repair funding plan signed into law in 2015. Compared to the current schedule, this proposal would increase road repair funding by $325 million in the budget year starting this October and by $275 million in the following budget year. The bill was referred to the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee for consideration.
