House and Senate leadership announced changes to committee membership.

Last week, there was a lot of movement surrounding the request to recount the presidential election results in Michigan.

Representative Lisa Lyons (R-Alto) introduced legislation requiring the full cost of a recount to be paid by the party requesting the recount.

Representative Lauren Plawecki (D-Dearborn Heights) took the oath of office to complete her mother’s term, ending December 31, 2016.

This week, the House and Senate are scheduled to hold session Tuesday – Thursday.
