Representative Takes Oath of Office

Last week, Representative Lauren Plawecki (D-Dearborn Heights) took the oath of office to begin serving in the House of Representatives. She represents the 11^th House District, which includes Garden City and Inkster and portions of Dearborn Heights, Livonia, and Westland. Representative Plawecki fills the seat vacated by her mother, former Representative Julie Plawecki, who passed away earlier this year. The term ends December 31, 2016 and she chose not to run for the term beginning January 1, 2017.
