In the 108th House District, only the Democratic candidate has previously run for public office, will that advantage give him the edge in this 52% Republican base district?

While the Republican candidate in the 83rd House District has gained several key endorsements, neither of the major party candidates has previous experience running for office.  Will the endorsements be enough to give the GOP candidate the needed edge in this 54% Republican base district?

Governor Rick Snyder signed an Executive Directive with the goal of improving the relationship between law enforcement and communities.

The Michigan Supreme Court declined to issue an opinion on appropriating public funds to private schools to cover the cost of state mandates.

Governor Rick Snyder signed a bill seeking to increase the reading proficiency for students entering the fourth grade.
