This week, the Senate Natural Resources Committee posted an advice and consent hearing for Heidi Grether. The hearing to be held on Wednesday, September 7, will be on the appointment of Ms. Grether as director of the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ). She was appointed by Governor Rick Snyder on July 14, replacing former interim director Keith Creagh. Prior to her appointment, Ms. Grether was a Deputy Director at the Michigan Agency for Energy. Previously she worked at BP America and has also served as staff in both chambers of the Michigan Legislature.
