On Monday, the Michigan Democratic Party announced they nominated Suzanna Shkreli to run as the party’s nominee in the 8th Congressional District. Ms. Shkreli is an assistant Macomb County Prosecutor, currently serving in the Child Protection Unit.
Ms. Shkreli replaces Melissa Gilbert, the former Democratic nominee in the district, who announced that due to medical reasons she could not continue her campaign for the office, or serve if elected.
