Senate Democratic Leader Jim Ananich (D-Flint) this week announced John Mulcrone as his new chief of staff. Previously, Mr. Mulcrone worked in the same role for Senate Minority Floor Leader Morris Hood (D-Detroit). Additionally, he’s previously served as legal counsel for the Senate Democratic caucus. Senator Ananich’s departing chief of staff, Andy Leavitt, is headed to manage Congressman Dan Kildee’s (D-Flint) district office.
