Governor Signs Signature Collection Changes

This week, Governor Rick Snyder signed into a law legislation that states signatures on petitions seeking to amend the Constitution or initiate legislation will no longer be valid if they are made more than 180 days before the petition was filed with the Secretary of State. The change codifies what has been the existing practice for the last thirty years.
