Agency Hosting Town Halls on Power Outages

Mar 10, 2023

Following the recent ice and snow storms across the Lower Peninsula, the Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) has scheduled two public town halls. Commissioners will make brief opening remarks on steps the MPSC is taking to upgrade the state’s power grid and make it more resilient against severe storms.

The two in-person town halls are being held in areas hard hit by the ice storm. The details are as follows:

    • March 20, from noon to 2:30 p.m. at American 1 Credit Union Event Center in Jackson.
    • March 20, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Fordson High School in Dearborn

In addition, they will host one virtual town hall meeting on March 21 from 6 – 8 p.m. To attend the virtual town hall, please click here to visit the event’s webpage. A Microsoft Teams link will be posted closer to the day of the virtual town hall.
