Today, during the opening day of session, the House and Senate named the standing committees for the upcoming term, along with the number of members who will serve on each committee. The only committee chairs who have been named thus far are Senate Appropriations Chair Sarah Anthony (D-Lansing) and House Appropriations Chair Angela Witwer (D-Delta Township). The remaining committee chairs, along with the committee members, will be named in the coming weeks.
