Governor, Speaker-elect Announce Staff Changes

Today, Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced a handful of changes to head state departments and agencies during her second term.

    • Replacing Liesl Clark will be Dan Eichinger as acting director of the Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy.
    • Replacing Zaneta Adams will be Adam Hollier as director of the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency
    • Michelle Lang will move from acting director to director of the Department of Technology, Management, and Budget
    • Brian Hanna will move from acting executive director to executive director of the Cannabis Regulatory Agency
    • Replacing Paul Ajegba will be Brad Wieferich as acting director of the Department of Transportation
    • Replacing Gary McDowell will be Kathy Angerer as acting director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development
    • Replacing Dan Eichinger as director will be Shannon Lott as acting director of the Department of Natural Resources

    • Shaquila Myers, chief of staff
    • Joshua Lyman, external affairs director
    • Ricardo White, legislative director
    • Coffiann Hawthorne, policy director for the House Democratic Caucus
    • Angela Wheeler, majority legal counsel
    • John Mulcrone, general counsel to the House of Representatives
    • Amber McCann, press secretary
