Today, Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced a handful of changes to head state departments and agencies during her second term.

- Replacing Liesl Clark will be Dan Eichinger as acting director of the Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy.
- Replacing Zaneta Adams will be Adam Hollier as director of the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency
- Michelle Lang will move from acting director to director of the Department of Technology, Management, and Budget
- Brian Hanna will move from acting executive director to executive director of the Cannabis Regulatory Agency
- Replacing Paul Ajegba will be Brad Wieferich as acting director of the Department of Transportation
- Replacing Gary McDowell will be Kathy Angerer as acting director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development
- Replacing Dan Eichinger as director will be Shannon Lott as acting director of the Department of Natural Resources
