Applications Open for Going Pro Talent Fund

Dec 02, 2022

To help stay competitive, businesses can now submit an application for grant funding. The state has appropriated approximately $50 million to help employers have the talent they need to grow and stay competitive by providing awards to assist in training, developing, and retaining current and newly hired employees. Training must fill a demonstrated talent need experienced by the employer and lead to a transferable, industry-recognized credential. Going PRO Talent Fund grants are awarded to employers through the Michigan Works! network.

This year, the application process includes increased transparency for applicants, allowing them to see their scores prior to submitting an application and make adjustments as needed. Businesses interested in learning more or applying for funding should contact their local Michigan Works! Service Center. Contact information may be found at MichiganWorks.org.

The application period for the first award cycle ends Monday, December 12, at noon. Selected applicants will be announced in January 2023. The second application cycle will open late spring 2023.
