Unemployment Rate Steady in June

Michigan’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate last month remained unchanged from the prior month at 4.2%. Total employment increased by 2,000, while unemployment rose by 3,000. Last month’s rate is higher than the national average of 3.7%. In the Detroit-Warren-Dearborn market the June 2019 unemployment rate was 4.6%, one-tenth of a percentage point over the prior month. […]
