This week, Don Tilley, the Democratic candidate in the 96th House District, filed for a recount.  Mr. Tilley lost the primary race earlier this month by 912 votes.  He’s requesting a recount of two precincts within the district.  The 96th district is located in Bay County and has a 56.31% Democratic base.

On Tuesday, August 30, the special primary election will be held for the open 11th House District seat.  The seat was left open following the passing of State Representative Julie Plawecki. The House and Senate are continuing their summer in district work period.
