April Unemployment Rate Declines

Emergency Disaster Fund Reforms Introduced

Recycling Grants Awarded

This week, the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) announced the municipalities awarded grant by the DEQ to boost their recycling education and infrastructure projects.  The $500,000 in grants support Governor Rick Snyder’s 2014 Residential Recycling Plan of Action by increasing access to recycling, improving recycling processing capacity, and promoting recycling education in Michigan.  Funding for […]

It’s Official – General Fund Revenue Revised Down

Projections for General Fund (GF) revenue were revised down by $178.8 million for the 2017 Fiscal Year.  On a positive note, the revenue earmarked for the School Aid Fund (SAF) has increased from earlier estimates by $152.9 million for the 2017 Fiscal Year, resulting in an overall increase of $25.9 million from the January estimates.  […]
